Lyca’s Gnanam Foundation implemented an educational cash grant programme in the Trincomalee District and sponsored the Trincomalee District annual zonal level Tamil Day Celebration programme conducted by the Zonal Education Office in Trincomalee.
The Tamil Day programme was organised to motivate the students of Trincomalee district by recognising their individual talents and awarding trophies and certificates. Talent identification was made on a competitive basis in the fields of drama, speech, signing essay and dance. Those who excelled in their selected activity were given prizes.
The event was graced by chief guests S. Sivanirthanantha, Assistance Director of Education in Trincomalee district and Mr. N. Vijendran, Trincomalee Educational Zonal Director. The programme itinerary included the presentation of some of the best selected performances by students to the audience.
